Outreach is the cornerstone of our mission. Our outreach initiatives bring our mission out into the community where our officers change the lives of kids by building positive relationships and trust.
Mobile PAL
Took our mission of building positive relationships between police and kids beyond our service walls and into the community. Through our Mobile PAL initiative JaxPAL/JSO officers visited some of our city’s highest-crime communities to spend quality time with children, provide them with lunch and/or snacks and engage them in sports and/or fun activities.
Lunch with a PAL
Lunch with a PAL. This small group discussion initiative gives law enforcement officers an opportunity to connect and foster positive relationships with teens though open conversations about topics that affect them the most (e.g. teen dating violence). The discussions take place during the students’ lunch period at their school
